No major damage reported in BoU fire

The Bank of Uganda has confirmed that fire broke out in one of their offices at the Main Central Bank building but that no one was injured and it did not cause major damage to property.

In a communication is issued on its Website, we took immediate steps and  the situation has been controlled. We assure the country of the existence of a robust risk, emergency management and  response framework.”
