NHDA wants 1,500 bulls for Eid Adhuha 2025 festival

True to their tradition of giving food to the needy, the Nile Humanitarian Development Agency (NHDA) is set to slaughter 1 500 bulls this year . The meat from the sacrificed bulls will be distributed to needy people across Uganda, both Muslims and non-Muslims.

The slaughtering of bulls is set to be carried out during the celebration days of Eid Al-Aduha days expected to take place between (6-9th of June 2025). The ritual is made in observance of the important tenet of slaughtering approved animals as a sacrifice for Allah. This annual age-old practice is a cornerstone principle of the Islamic faith.

In the same spirit, NHDA, has issued a call for bids from competent registered companies in Uganda to supply cows that will be slaughtered for that cause.

For more than ten years now, NHDA has observed this tradition and has distributed meat to thousands of needy people, besides donating to them other food stuffs like rice, cooking oil to enable them happily celebrate the Eid Aduha Festival.

NHDA now invites sealed bids from interested parties to be delivered to the project coordinator Qurban at their offices in Muyenga Kampala Uganda, Zzimwe Road Plot 4345.

The Deadline for receiving Bids is 5:00 PM on 23rd/May/2025.
