Kiira Motor Corporation tested a motor beast
Kiira Motors Corporation has taken its second version of the Kiira EVS motor vehicle for a road test – a crucial step in Uganda’s ambitions to produce vehicles.t
This is after developing Africa’s first electric vehicle in 2011 Africa’s hybrid vehicle in 2014 and Africa’s first solar electric bus in 2016
The Beast was taken out for a 10km road test on Sunday with a rechargeable battery bank an internal combustion engine based generationThe four-seater executive vehicle fitted with a 60-litre fuel tank with a two-engine capacity consumes a litre per 10km in town service and 10 litres per 16km on the highway. It has a five-speed automatic transmission and an exquisite beige interior trim.
The engine is changing, giving maximum effectiveness
Allan Muhumza the business development manager said the beast mode was all processed in Uganda using locally made materials.
