Commissioner meets Driving school owners and instructors

In a bid to improve road safety, reduce road Carnage and issues pertaining issuance of driving permits in Uganda ACP Sulaiman Kirungi, the acting commissioner in charge of vehicles met all driving school owners and instructors at Naguru vehicle inspection center headquarters
While addressing the participants who were about 60 and reminded them of their roles and responsibilities in road safety.
” The purpose of this meeting is to remind you that road safety lies in our hands, it’s our duty and responsibility to improve driving standards in the country, it’s you who test the drivers so we have to sit together and find means of improving road safety and we can only achieve that if you produce good drivers on the road” he added
He further stressed that most accidents on the roads are caused by human error factors, the inspectorate vehicle inspection is responsible for vehicle inspection, driver testing and car fitness in Uganda.
