Family, freinds mourn Dr Mungherera

Family, friends and well-wishers have Thursday gathered at All Saints Church in Nakasero Kampala for the funeral service of Dr Margret Mungherera.

The former president of the World Medical Association and Uganda Medical Association died in India last Saturday where she had gone for cancer treatment.

She died at the age 60 years and will be buried on Friday at her ancestral home in Butaleja District.

Among the mourners was former vice president Specioza Wandira Kazibwe who eulogised Dr Mungherera as a true patriot whose contribution in the medical fraternity leaves an indelible mark.

Other mourners included government dignitaries, buy representatives from civil society and the private sector and colleagues from the medical fraternity where she had been an active member for more than 30 years.
