Police in Luwero has arrested a one Solomon Ssemakula aka Elosam Emmanuel Prince Michael who claims to be Jesus Christ the son of God.

Ssemakula was arrested on Monday evening together with three of his followers at Kikaabya village, Bamunanika sub county, Luwero District

In his teachings he asks people not to seek medical services citing that he heals the sick. He also urges his followers  not to eat cooked food.

The Officer in Charge of Wobulenzi police station Gideon Byomuhangi confirmed Jesus’ arrest and said he will be charged with a number of cases that include belonging to an unlawful society.

“When we went there, we found that the man uses blue things only, he owns a blue carpet, a blue-painted toilet and when he was asked why this is so, he said its because the colour of  the sky is blue, he said that he is the true son of God and was born by the Spirit not by man” said Byomuhangi.

However, this is not the first time Jesus gets arrested for who he is, he was first arrested in June 2016 at Togo village, detained at kiwoko police station and appeared before Kiwoko court grade 1 magistrate where he was charged with belonging to unlawful society.

In one of the court sessions, Ssemakula threw court into laughter when he refused to answer questions because the magistrate was referring to him by his given name Ssemakula and said he would only reply when he is called “Jesus” the “prince of peace.”

After he was charged Ssemakula pleaded, and informed court that he would stop calling himself Jesus and also promised to disband his cult. He was then granted bail after presenting three sureties.
