Mayuge’s dev’t anchor Sheikh ‘Dakhtur’ Muwaya shot dead

The late Dr. Muwaya, was killed at around 9:30Pm shortly performing his Ishaa prayers at his home.

The late  Dakhtur was a respected figure across Mayuge district but also a well-known figure in Busoga sub-region because of his tireless and selfless desire to transform the lives of ordinary people.

As the leader of the Ahlul Bait Islamic Foundation (ABIF), Muwaya helped to provide for needy children.

Dakhtur was also a revered figure because of his religious as well as political influence. His connections helped him mobilise for development that for example helped the district get connected to the national electricity grid.
