Kayihura sacks Baroza and other assistants
IGP Kale Kayihura has sacked his personal assistant Jonathan Baroza.
In the Thursday mini reshuffle, Kayihura replaced Baroza with CP Ibrahim Sagal formerly attached to Interpol.
Baroza, the police human resource director, was sacked along with five other assistants.
Baroza, who police says will be sent on further studies, has been a key member of Kayihura’s inner team, who some police circles accuse of putting a ring around the IGP.
Close sources say security agencies leading the investigation into the killing of AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi had advised the IGP to keep away key figures of his inner team for fear of being targeted or compromising the investigations.
Asan Kasingye, the police spokesman told media, the transfers were a normal routine.
