Fort Portal to host Tooro Entrepreneurship Symposium 2026, targeting up to 1,000 participants daily
Fort Portal City is set to host the Tooro Entrepreneurship Symposium (TESY 2026) from November 16th to 18th at Kalya Courts Hotel, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, innovators and business stakeholders to explore opportunities for business growth and economic transformation.
Held under the theme "Digital Innovation and Technology Adoption for Inclusive Local Businesses and Economic Growth," the symposium is expected to attract between 600 and 1,000 participants daily from across the Tooro and Rwenzori sub-regions and beyond.
TESY 2026 aims to promote entrepreneurship, encourage digital transformation and equip local businesses with knowledge and opportunities to compete in an increasingly digital economy.
The three-day event will provide a platform for discussions on business development, technology adoption, access to finance, investment opportunities and market expansion, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
A key highlight will be the engagement between entrepreneurs and financial institutions to address challenges surrounding access to business financing. Through Access to Finance Sessions and a Business Deal Room, entrepreneurs will have opportunities to interact with potential financing partners, understand credit requirements and explore funding for business expansion.
The symposium will also feature corporate exhibitions, business networking and partnership opportunities, allowing organisations to showcase their products and services while connecting with potential customers and investors.
Organisers are particularly encouraging financial institutions, corporate organisations, government agencies and development partners to participate through sponsorships, exhibitions and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Beyond business discussions, TESY 2026 is expected to position Fort Portal City as an emerging regional hub for entrepreneurship, investment, innovation and economic development.
The symposium comes at a time when local businesses need to embrace technology, strengthen their operations and explore new ways of accessing markets and financing.
As preparations continue, entrepreneurs, investors and other stakeholders are invited to be part of the three-day event aimed at turning ideas into business opportunities and promoting inclusive economic growth.
