Kampala Celebrates as Maxxie Kizito Snags Top Honors at East Africa Arts Entertainment Awards
The Ugandan entertainment scene is buzzing with pride today as multi-talented singer, entrepreneur, and industry heavyweight Maxxie Kizito brought home a prestigious accolade from the East Africa Arts Entertainment Awards (EAEA). Kizito was crowned the Best Entrepreneur, Talent Manager, Brand Ambassador, and Best Events Company in the East African region at the glittering ceremony held in Nairobi, Kenya, on Sunday, April 6th, 2025.
Visibly elated, Maxxie Kizito proudly displayed his newly won award, emphasizing the collective spirit of the East African entertainment fraternity. “This award is for everyone in our industry,” he declared. “There is no competition, we are a team. Having dedicated nearly two decades to nurturing Uganda’s vibrant music and entertainment landscape, Maxxie Kizito’s impact is undeniable. Through his company, Maximize Entertainment, he has been instrumental in the rise of numerous Ugandan and African artists, particularly within the popular Afrobeats and Amapiano genres.
Beyond his contributions to the music industry, Kizito is also a successful businessman, spearheading KUBO Street Fashion, a leading streetwear brand in East Africa, and venturing into agriculture and forex training. His multifaceted achievements underscore his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to the region’s growth.
Adding another layer of anticipation to his already impressive portfolio, Maxxie Kizito is currently immersed in the creation of his debut album, titled “Chasing Midnight.” The album, which already boasts three tracks in production, promises to be a Pan-African affair, featuring collaborations with some of the continent’s biggest names, including Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platinumz, Nigerian sensation Rema, Ghanaian rising star Black Sherif, and South Africa’s captivating Tito M.
