Dizzy Nuts gone nuts?

The mother of Uganda’s ragga musician Dizzy Nuts has passed away. Close sources have revealed that that the old lady died on Wednesday night from sinus-related ailments locally known as ‘Kiwanga’. She was also suffering from severe back pain, Grapevine has also learned.

While loss of a loved one if always a tragic affair especially for the bereaved, but her departure will perhaps stop her from the psychological trauma she has had to endure in recent years after her son got married to drugs.

Nuts rose from grass through the ‘intricate corridors’, as former VP Bukenya famously noted, to near the top of Baby Cool’s group Gagamel. In fact, Natts did some successful collaborations with boss Babe Cool including ‘Fire Burn Dem’.

But Nuts did not survive long into fameland before drugs started to inflict serious damage on him. Friends of Nuts have told Grapevine that he Nuts had degenerated so much because of marijuana and mairungi, to the extent that he lost count of days in a week or hours in a day.

But as the Baganda say, Ffenna lye Kkubo. Death is everyone destiny. May her soul rest in eternal peace!
