Deputy Police Chief Felix Kawesi assassinated; Who is safe?
RIP: Ex-AIGP Andrew Felix Kawesi
The Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Felix Kawesi, Kisaasi a suburb of Kampala, The Sunrise can confirm. Kawesi was also the Spokesperson of the Police.
Reports indicate that Kawesi was killed along with his escort and driver at around 9:00AM in the morning in the full glare of the public, by assassins who were traveling on two motorcycles.
Grisly images of the murders hit the social media immediately after the incident was reported.
The deaths have sent shock waves across many people in Kampala and are likely to cause further tension in the country as the news gets digested.
Kawesi’s assassination comes hot on the heals of another high-profile murder of a UPDF Major Muhammad Kiggundu in November 2016.
