Muslim World League boss gets highest honour for work on tolerance
For his efforts to promote moderation and religious tolerance around the world, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League in Saudi Arabia Dr. Mohammad Abdulkarim Issa recently received the highest title of Royal Code named the Hero of State from the Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Abdulrazaak.
The awarded is given outstanding personalities who have made a significant contribution towards humanity. Malaysia prides itself as the centre moderation, peaceful co-existence and civility. The award is therefore considered as one of the highest honors by the government of Malaysia. The highly entitles the holder to an exceptional diplomatic immunity in Malaysia for a life time.
Malaysian Prime Minister Abdulrazaak hailed Dr. Abdulkarim Issa for his crusade to create awareness about the need for religious tolerance and fighting extremism and hatred based on culture and religious diversity.
Dr. Al-Issa thanked the Prime minister for the award and noted that Muslims are responsible for the image of their religion and therefore have to confront any one among them who is ignorant about the truth in a civil manner.
