A group of youth dressed in yellow attire, yellow berets claiming to be NRM supporters have on Thursday 10th stormed offices of the British high commission in Kampala protesting the decision by the United Kingdom parliament’s interference into the internal affairs of Uganda

The group with no formal leader says the country’s parliament has enough ability and capacity to handle its matter comprehensively and so UK’s intervention is not required.

This group further stated that it was wrong and unacceptable for United Kingdom parliament to interfere into Uganda’s matter and yet it’s a sovereign state.

“Uganda is not for sale ,let Uganda handle it’s affairs, in fact they should handle their Brexit   , good enough 2021 is not far we shall decide” the group stated

As the riot continued, Police commanded by Kira Road DPC Micheal Kasigire came in to cool the situation, started arresting some of the group members causing a lot of commission, screaming and running up and down.

Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire confirmed arrest of more than five members of the group

“It’s true some members of the group were arrested and are currently recording statement” Luke added

The United Kingdom parliament after a motion that was moved by Dr Paul Williams from Stockton south constituency and a member of labour party who said Uganda is military state as member of common wealth is obliged to promote democracy

On Tuesday this week Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine was supposed to travel to United Kingdom where he scheduled to address the house of common about the state of democracy in Uganda unfortunately he didn’t make it
