Uganda is set to host the 10th Anniversary of the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) from 21st–23rd May 2026 at the Commonwealth Speke Resort Munyonyo, bringing together global tourism stakeholders under the theme “Ignite your wanderlust”.

Organised by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), the expo is Uganda’s flagship tourism and travel exhibition designed to position the country as a leading global destination. The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) attracts international hosted buyers, media representatives, tourism operators, and local exhibitors who converge to showcase Uganda’s tourism potential.

The 2026 edition will celebrate Uganda’s tourism growth journey while promoting immersive experiences, cultural showcases, and meaningful global connections. It will also highlight authentic, experience-led storytelling that brings the “Ignite your wanderlust” theme to life.

POATE continues to play a key role in strengthening Uganda’s tourism sector by building regional and international visibility, encouraging engagement between tour operators and travelers, and providing a platform for dialogue between government and private sector stakeholders on key issues such as regulation and taxation.

Attending POATE 2026 offers participants the opportunity to connect with global tourism players and hosted buyers, explore Uganda’s diverse and sustainable tourism offerings, gain insights from expert-led seminars and panel discussions, and experience Uganda’s rich culture, cuisine, and hospitality.

As Uganda prepares for this milestone 10th edition, POATE 2026 is expected to further elevate the country’s profile on the global tourism stage while driving partnerships, investment, and sustainable growth in the tourism industry.
