Bryan White (Brian Kirumira) was taken to Makindye Chief Magistrates’ Court on a mattress to face charges related to the alleged ritual killing of Carol Nalubwama. He appeared distressed, bandaged, and unable to stand, prompting the magistrate to order his return to the hospital.

Four other suspects including his wife Daisy Nalunga were remanded on related charges. Prosecutors accuse the group of ritual murder, conspiracy, giving false information, drug possession, and negligent handling of combustible materials.

Investigators say the victim was burned on October 22, 2025, contrary to statements made to police. A hospital administrator, Joyce Irene Nambalirwa, faces additional charges for failing to refer the victim to a major hospital.

Police reports indicate Bryan White claimed the injuries came from a gas explosion, but the victim’s family suspects ritual sacrifice, especially after police found shrine-like structures at the scene.

Detectives are examining CCTV and other evidence. Bryan White has a history of legal controversies, including previous charges of attempted murder and fraud.
