The Nile Humanitarian Development Agency (NHDA) is once again offering the Ugandan business community a chance to make some money.

The charitable organization has issued a call for bids to supply over 1500 bulls for slaughter in commemoration of this year’s Eid Al-Adha festival. Eid Al-Adha is expected to be marked from 27th May 2026 to 30th May 2026.

NHDA has set the deadline of 15th May, 2026 for competent, registered companies in Uganda to submit written bids in order to qualify for selection.

Eligible suppliers are further asked to follow all the technical requirements attached on this notice below as well as a copy of this bid notice.

The annual ritual of slaughtering animals is a cornerstone principle of the Islamic faith.

The meat from the sacrificed animals is distributed to needy people across Uganda, both Muslims and non-Muslims.

For more than ten years now, NHDA has observed this tradition and has distributed meat to thousands of needy people, besides donating to them other food stuffs like rice, cooking oil to enable them happily celebrate the Eid Adha Festival.

Interested parties should deliver their written bids to the organization’s offices in Muyenga Kampala Uganda, Plot 4345 Zzimwe road.

The Deadline for receiving Bids is 5:00 PM on 15th May, 2026.

SUPPLIER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

For suppliers of bulls, the following documents must be submitted as part of the bid:

- Copy of Certificate of incorporation.

- Form 20 of the company showing the company’s directors, (Also attach directors' ID's).

- Form 1 for beneficial owner and their ID's.

- Copy of memorandum of association showing the objectives of the company.

- Valid trading license of the business.

- Tax Identification Number of the company, physical Form 18 for Address of the company on the tax invoice.

- Quotations (should be quoted in price per live kg). The quotation should also include transporting the bulls to Kampala.

- Bank account name and number which should be in the names of the company/business.
