Ex-MP Issa Kikungwe dead

The former Member of Parliament for Kyadondo South, who was also the reigning National Treasurer of the Democratic Party Issa Kikungwe passed away today Sunday, morning.
According to DP’s President General Norbert Mao, Al Hajj Kikungwe did not recover from an Oct. 27 surgical operation at Mengo Hospital, in Kampala.
Mao said on his facebook page that: “Our colleague did not regain consciousness after a surgery he underwent on Friday 27 October 2017 to remove a brain tumor which had recurred after a successful surgery a few years ago.”
Mao eulogized kikungwe as a decisive and dependable man.
“He was always committed to doing what he believed to be right. Even if you did not agree with him, you knew where he stood on a particular issue.”
