Bobi Wine family demand to know his whereabouts

Singer and Politician Bobi Wine Alias Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu was yesterday reportedly arrested following political clashes in Arua Bi-election that saw his driver a one Yasin Kawuma who was shot dead near Hotel Pacific in Arua Town .
In a press conference held today, the family of the Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi, have tasked the government to explain the whereabouts of their relative.
The family of the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament is still in panic after Bobi Wine’s wife revealed on Facebook that she has lost touch with her husband since the incident occurred.
The singer cum politician was picked up by plain clothed security operatives and driven away. Also arrested is Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament, Francis Zaake Butebi.
Opposition lawmaker Robert Kyagulanyi, was arrested after an incident in which security officers shot his driver dead, a police spokesman said.
“We arrested Bobi Wine and others this morning and he is in our custody,” said Emilian Kayima, Uganda’s police spokesman.
Kyagulanyi was arrested in Arua where he was campaigning for Kasiano Wadri an opposition candidate in a hard fought by-election that also drew President Yoweri Museveni in support of the ruling party candidate.
Following parallel rallies on Monday, Kayima said Kyagulanyi was arrested for obstructing the presidential motorcade, during which one of Museveni’s official vehicles had a windscreen damaged.
