World forest day in pictures
The world today celebrated the international day for forests or world forest day.
In Uganda, the day began with field visits, tree planting and site visits.
Keza from Rainbow International School recited a poem in praise of River Nile. Her performance was followed by 7 year old Leila Kagere who performed an original composition about going green.
However, youths feel environment degradation or pollution is still a threat. As nature grieves, the country cries along. Today as forests were celebrated at the Water Resource Institute in Entebbe, the dress code told it all as just a few people embraced green colored attires.

Only a few people embraced the green colour
We are only left with little green in environment, fashion told it all.
