Uganda’s She Cranes maintained their strong start to the Celtic Cup 2025 with a dominant 72–46 win over Northern Ireland on Thursday at Glasgow’s Emirates Arena.

The team set the tone early, taking a 19–11 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 38–22 by halftime, thanks to improved shooting and faster tempo. They continued their dominance in the third quarter, capitalizing on turnovers and strengthening their defence to lead 55–32. In the final quarter, the She Cranes controlled possession and secured a convincing 26-point victory.

Team captain Mary Nuba highlighted the importance of a strong start, noting the team’s steady improvement and focus on refining their performance ahead of upcoming matches.

Uganda now faces a crucial test against hosts Scotland on Friday, aiming to preserve their unbeaten record.
