Mr President, where is my share of Ushs 260bn?

Mr President, Father of the Nation and Benevolent Revolutionary, I commend you for your efforts of developing the youth, most of whom have been born when you are in charge. In the space of three years from the time you won a sixth kisanja in 2011, you have initiated a number of projects all aimed at emancipating the young people.

First was the Ushs 45bn Youth Venture Capital Fund, the so-called Youth Fund that your finance minister Maria Kiwanuka announced at the 2011/12 budget. There was hullaballoo about this money with many of us thinking it was a soft strategy of nipping Besigye’s numerous street protests that had taken on the form of Activists for Change (A4C).
