Opposition leaders say one thing, do differently
The Democratic Party President General, Nobert Mao, was spot on when he referred to a saying that: The night is darkest just before dawn. He was of course referring to the recent events that have followed the Arua Municipality by-election. The repercussions from that election are obviously still continuing.
A good number of years ago, Mao again made a saying that would amount to a prophetic statement. He said: A fish starts to rot from the head. This time round he was trying to rally the people of Uganda to a hopeful conclusion of the matter.
The problem of the politicians in Uganda, including those of the Opposition, is that they make such statements, and do some actions, that are intended to attract bribes. Once they are compromised they slink away from the people and leave them to face the harsh consequences.
In this evil country, we can only pray and look to the Heavens!
