Musician Mowzey Radio is dead

Uganda has woken up to shocking news of the death of celebrated musician Moses Ssekibogo alias Mowzey Radio. Music promoter Balam Barugahare has confirmed the news.

Radio was pronounced dead by doctors at Case Hospital in Kampala after spending nearly a week in intensive care unit of the hospital. While at Case Mowzey underwent multiple operations to his head.

Mowzey became unconscious when he was allegedly hit on the ground by a bouncer at De Bar in Entebbe about a week ago.

Radio’s death has sent the music-loving Ugandan public into grief and mourning with almost all radio and television outlets flashing his death as Breaking news.

The President of the Uganda Performing Artists Association Andrew Benon Kibuuka described Mowzey’s death as a great shock.

Mowzey’s incredible vocal talent, creativity and hard work set him apart as one of the best, if not the best singer of the past ten years. His powerful performances, outstanding song-writing skills propelled him, along with his partner Weazle to the top of the industry for last decade.
