KT, Balaam share Ushs1.1 billion profit from Cranes Match
Did they make this money? Grapevine has learnt that the proceeds from the gate collection of the Uganda Cranes – Comoros game broke all records in attendance and earnings.
A small fly inside the money counting room told Rafiki that KT and Balaam divided an estimated Ushs1.1bn in profits from the match.
This was all possible because the clever promoters took two days to count the money that came from the gate collection.
Grapevine has also learnt that there were no returns of printed tickets, something that has never happened in Ugandan football.
Apparently, printed some 55,000 tickets, something that has become a subject of Police investigations because they were never supposed to exceed the Stadium’s 42,000 sitting capacity.
Now don’t calculate the 50k tickets or the 150k tickets for VIPs, just do your calculations and multiply the number of fans by 25k tickets.
