Artistes that started with bangers and later lost track in 2018
It is just few hours to 2019 and everyone has activated the new year’s mode. Since I have not taken my chill pill, allow me remind you of those artistes who started with hits and then let the fans down.
Irene Ntale
The Diva exposed much energy after leaving Swangz Avenue but after Kyolowooza, Stamina Daddy, Gukuba, Kateteeyi and the successful Ntale unchained event, Irene literally handed over the industry to other female artistes. Her post me and sugar daddy songs have not helped her keep in the game. Could it be that there is too much ‘daddy’ in her lyrics!
Someone should wake her up for the sake of the industry.
Carol Nantongo.
She started the year with Eddy Yawe’s collabo tukiggale. The song moved her to places and has kept her in the news. I think tukiggale was too good that carol’s misumaali and bittafu taffu failed her. She has been around in the news but musically ‘takiggadde’. Carol, another collabo please…
Geosteady.
The vocalist began the year still feeding on his 2017 tokendeeza song. It even landed him a collabo with Nigeria’s Korede Bello dubbed am into you. However, the young man lost track when he replaced music with relationship stunt and getting lost in Baltimore. His finally song wasn’t applauded for either. Good thing his dine with Geosteady event was successful otherwise you need to be felt in the game black man.
Beenie Gunter
Beenie’s porn mi was one of the club anthems in early 2018. He was on top of his game until someone I don’t know advised him to stop producing bangers. Beenie Gunter can you believe the crowd is still dancing to ‘olina work!’
Where are you?
Da Agent
‘Omukulukusi’ what happened?
The rapper started the year ‘very welloo’ in King Saha’s voice. Small rapper Fefe Bussi added to his game after he instigated the ‘who is who’ challenge. After the Agent’s ‘nzuno eno’ and Naira Ali’s onsudde eddalu remix, the rapper decided to chill good music and has ended the year with no hit to his name.
