Maddox thrills at Bayimba
Having attended the 2015 Bayimba festival, it would only take a blind man not to mention Maddox Ssemanda of Nakatudde fame and his extraordinary performance at the show.
In the event that was graced by thousands of music and art lovers, Maddox came out as a class act and truly sensational with great balads such as Nakatudde, Namagembe. To many, his flawless live performance took him to the top as the best performer of the event.
The Festival that lasted for three days was also graced by other musical stars including Naava Grey, Queens of Comedy, The foursum theatre perfomers among others.
It also attracted a number of ethno contemporary actists including Joel Sebunjo alongside Aly Keita, Msafiri from Tanzania, Bado from Kenya, Daniel Okiror and Saba Zibula, among others.
Maddox Semanda Ssematimba was one of the best Uganda’s music icons in the late 90’s. Based in Sweden, he did songs like Namagembe. However, his career went down the drain after his return in Uganda due to drug and boose problems.
