Two Kenyan nationals arrested in arms trade
Police through Crime intelligence and flying squad has arrested two Kenyan nationals who were allegedly purchasing firearms from police detectives.The two where tricked by security following a tip off that the two had been dealing in fire-arms
While addressing Journalists at Naguru Police headquarters police spokes person Fred Enanga said “We got information about firearms trade on 15th this month the pattern of cross boarder crimes and profile criminals who were planning to buy guns in an illegal arms trafficking process”
The two Kenyan Nationals identified as Nataka Nasicho and Mukua Peter crossed into Uganda to buy guns , they were trailed from Malabar boarder up to Namboole where they met the purported seller and agreed to purchase a pistol at Ug .shillings 1.5million Enanga Explained
Police say after the purchase of the pistol they immediately put a second order for an SMG AK 47. Upon establishing their intent, Enanga said they were a rounded up and arrested by police the pistol cash Ksh 446 and Ugandan 420000. .The suspect are undergoing inquiries at Jinja Road Police station
