Ex-Mulago boss Dr. Kaggwa passes on

Former Executive Director Mulago Hospital Dr. Lawrence Kaggwa

The Former Director of Mulago National Referral Hospital Dr. Lawrence Kaggwa has died. He was 68 years old. Reliable information shows that Dr. Kaggwa had a long battle with heart complications.

Kaggwa was admitted at the Uganda Heart Institute Mulago hospital at the beginning of October and has been battling for his life since then.

A retired senior consultant surgeon, a speciality he practiced and taught at medical school for a long time, Kaggwa became the Mulago hospital Executive Director in 1993.

He previously worked as the executive director of Mulago Hospital for 12 years. He left Mulago to work as the Director Planning in the Ministry of Health in Uganda. May his soul rest in eternal peace
