Shock; Deputy IGP Lokech suddenly dies
RIP: Maj. Gen. Paul Lokech
The Deputy Inspector General of Police Maj. Gen. Paul Lokech has collapsed and died this morning before he was due to be taken to hospital after breaking a leg a few weeks ago.
A statement by the IGP Okoth Ochola confirmed the shocking news noting that: “The IGP with deep sorrow regrets to announce the sudden demise of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Major General Paul Lokech. He passed on from his home this morning.”
The Minister of Internal Affairs Rtd. Gen. Kahinda Otafiire told CBS FM that Lokech collapsed and died instantly as he was being taken to hospital for treatment following an accident in which he broke his leg while at home.
Otafiire added that the general was being treated at home.
