
Emirates Airline has announced major aircraft deployments and product upgrades across its global network, with Uganda’s Entebbe route set to receive the airline’s new Airbus A350 aircraft starting 29 March.
The Airbus A350 is one of the world’s newest long-haul aircraft, known for improved passenger comfort, quieter cabins and better fuel efficiency, making it a major upgrade for travellers flying between Uganda and Dubai.”
The announcement is part of Emirates’ ongoing retrofit and fleet upgrade programme aimed at improving passenger comfort and expanding Premium Economy seating on more routes worldwide.
According to Emirates, flights EK729/730 between Dubai and Entebbe International Airport will be operated using the new A350 aircraft beginning 29 March, strengthening the airline’s service offering for passengers travelling between Uganda and the United Arab Emirates.
The Dubai–Entebbe route is a key connection for Ugandan travellers, linking them to Emirates’ global hub in Dubai with onward connections to Europe, Asia, and North America.
Emirates expands Premium Economy and retrofits aircraft
Emirates also revealed that it is set to complete the upgrade of its first high-density, two-class Airbus A380 by mid-April. The aircraft will be reconfigured into a three-class layout featuring 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy seats, and 437 Economy Class seats.
The first upgraded A380 will operate flights EK903/904 between Dubai and Amman from 14 April to 31 May before moving to the Dubai–Prague route (EK139/140) from 1 June.
Emirates expects to have retrofitted all 15 of its two-class A380 aircraft into the new three-class configuration by November.
Emirates aircraft deployments across Europe, Asia and Africa
In Europe and North America, Emirates will introduce a retrofitted A380 on the Dubai–New York JFK route (EK201/202) from 1 April, increasing to daily service from 1 June.
From 1 March, Emirates will operate a four-class A380 featuring Premium Economy on flights to Zurich (EK085/086), offering more than 1,500 weekly Premium Economy seats to and from the Swiss city.
Emirates will also operate flights EK101/102 to Milan with a retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR featuring Premium Economy from 10 May, while Dublin flights EK165/166 will receive the upgraded aircraft from 25 October.
In Asia, Emirates will deploy retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR aircraft on flights to Ho Chi Minh City (EK392/393) from 1 May, offering more than 600 weekly Premium Economy seats.
Flights to Hong Kong (EK382/383) will be upgraded from a Boeing 777-300ER to an A380 from 1 October, before transitioning to a retrofitted A380 fitted with Premium Economy from 1 December.
In the Middle East, Emirates flights to Basra (EK945/946) will be operated with a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER starting from 1 May.
Emirates will also operate a retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR on flights to Mauritius (EK709/710) from 29 March, while a three-class A380 will operate flights between Dubai and Guangzhou from 1 October.

Passengers can book Emirates tickets through Emirates official website , the Emirates mobile app, authorised travel agents, or Emirates retail stores.
The airline’s latest aircraft upgrades are expected to enhance the overall travel experience for passengers flying through its Dubai hub, including travellers from Uganda using the Entebbe route.
