On Sunday March 3, 2019, the New Vision will get to know their new relationship with the House of Prayer Ministries if by Saturday, they will not have published the full list of 20 pastors the newspaper recently reported were being investigated for murder and rape.

On February 12, 2019, the New Vision carried a story titled: “20 Top Pastors Probed over Rape, Murder,” but only provided one name, Augustine Yiga.

Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of the House of Prayer Ministries subsequently, on February 25, gave the newspaper an ultimatum of five days to publish the full list of the said pastors or face boycott from Born Again Christians.

Bugingo accused the newspaper of being biased in its coverage of the Born Again Christian faith.

Speaking on Salt FM, in his program, Enjiri which is broadcast from 8:00 to 9:00pm Monday to Friday, Bujingo said: “We want the New Vision to show us the other nineteen pastors. In the story we are only seeing Pastor Yiga. They should publish the full list or apologize to us on the front page. Otherwise our last resolution shall be drawn at Canaan Land on Sunday and we the Balokole (born again Christians) shall boycott the newspaper”
