Kipsiro wins Great Scottish Run
Uganda’s Moses Kipsiro fought off the challenge of Scotland’s Callum Hawkins and Kenya’s Japhet Korir to win the 34th Great Scottish Run in Glasgow over the weekend.
Kilbarchan’s Hawkins, 22, pushed the three-time Commonwealth champion for most of the half marathon.
But Kipsiro, 29, won in one hour two minutes 18 seconds – 24 seconds ahead of Hawkins, who ran a personal best.
Kenya’s Edna Kiplagat successfully defended her women’s title in 1:08:21.
