TotalEnergies Boosts Uganda’s Motorcycle Market with ‘Kyuusa Gear ne Hi-Perf’ Campaign

TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda has launched a new campaign, “Kyuusa Gear ne Hi-Perf,” aiming to solidify its leadership in Uganda’s burgeoning motorcycle lubricants market. The initiative, which kicked off on July 1, 2025, champions the company’s Hi-Perf engine oils, specifically formulated to meet the demanding needs of the country’s vast two-wheeler segment.

The “Kyuusa Gear ne Hi-Perf” campaign introduces a competitively priced range of products designed not only to enhance engine performance but also to promote improved service practices across the entire motorcycle value chain. This focus comes at a crucial time, especially with motorcycles accounting for a significant portion of road accidents in Kampala, highlighting the critical role of proper maintenance and quality lubricants in ensuring rider safety.

Joseph Wechuli, Finance Manager of TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda, underscored the company’s dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction. “This campaign is an expression of our continued commitment to innovation and our appreciation of our customers’ desires by providing mobility solutions that allow them to do what they want to do in a sustainable way,” Wechuli stated during the launch. He further reiterated TotalEnergies’ broader commitment to delivering top-quality products, investing in sustainable mobility, and championing initiatives that benefit both people and the environment.

Allan Omuron, the Specialities Manager, elaborated on the advanced engineering behind the Hi-Perf oils, stating they are formulated to provide “enhanced value, better mileage, superior engine protection and rider confidence.” Omuron added that the campaign extends beyond product promotion, aiming to “elevate service quality standards from the grassroots level, involving mechanics and the broader service station network.”

The Hi-Perf product line includes Hi-Perf 4T 500 20W50, Hi-Perf Bajaj 20W50, and Hi-Perf 2T 500 16B05L. These formulations are meticulously tailored for the unique and often challenging riding conditions encountered by Ugandan motorcyclists, including “Boda Boda” riders, long-distance delivery operators, and private bike owners. The oils are specifically engineered to withstand high temperatures, heavy loads, and extended operational hours common in the local environment, thereby enhancing engine reliability and durability.

TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda, with a robust presence in the country since 1955 and over 200 stations nationwide, aims to further cement its role as a pivotal partner in the transport sector.
