NCBA Auto Show 2025 Accelerates Uganda’s Drive Toward Sustainable and Affordable Vehicle Ownership

The much-anticipated NCBA Auto Show 2025 roared to life this weekend at the Kololo Independence Grounds, setting the stage for one of Uganda’s largest and most inclusive automotive showcases to date. Drawing car enthusiasts, families, business owners, and industry stakeholders, the two-day event is a celebration of innovation, accessibility, and sustainable mobility.

Hosted by NCBA Bank Uganda, the Auto Show blends thrilling vehicle displays, hands-on workshops, financial solutions, and entertainment, creating a vibrant ecosystem where car lovers and aspiring owners can connect, learn, and take action.

“This event is about more than just cars. It’s about inspiring Ugandans to dream big, drive smarter, and own sustainably,” said Edgar Tusime, NCBA’s Head of Marketing. “We’re uniting everyone—from industry experts to curious families—under one roof to experience the future of mobility.”

A standout theme of the Auto Show is green mobility, with several exhibitors showcasing the latest electric and hybrid vehicles, designed to offer environmentally conscious consumers a cleaner and cost-effective alternative. The move aligns with Uganda’s growing push for low-emission transport in response to environmental and public health concerns.

Adad Araguha, NCBA’s Head of Asset Finance, emphasised the need for stricter import regulations on older, high-emission vehicles, which continue to contribute to air pollution and climate risks. “We must prioritise cleaner, newer vehicles that reduce our carbon footprint and improve public health outcomes,” Araguha noted.

NCBA is using the Auto Show to highlight its flexible and inclusive financing options, helping individuals and SMEs alike step into vehicle ownership with confidence. The bank is offering:

  • Up to 100% vehicle financing
  • Repayment terms of up to six years
  • Discounted vehicle prices
  • Complimentary maintenance coverage up to 100,000 kilometres

“These solutions are designed to make new car ownership realistic and affordable, especially in a market where used imports often dominate despite their long-term costs,” Araguha said.

Beyond cars and finance, the event is packed with family-friendly attractions. A dedicated kids’ zone, live drifting and gymkhana shows, and practical car maintenance workshops are creating memorable experiences for all attendees. Enthusiasts can witness thrilling stunt driving while learning valuable car care skills.

The weekend also features panel discussions on East Africa’s transportation future and networking opportunities for businesses looking to collaborate on automotive innovations.

With over 50 car brands and key partners such as Double Q, Mark East Africa, and Britam Insurance, the NCBA Auto Show 2025 has become a one-stop marketplace for vehicles, financing, and insurance, catering to both private buyers and fleet managers.

Tusime wrapped up the event’s vision perfectly: “This isn’t just a car show—it’s a festival of mobility, financial empowerment, and shared opportunity. From electrification to asset financing, we are shaping the road ahead.”

The NCBA Auto Show continues through the weekend at Kololo, with free entry and open arms to anyone passionate about cars, sustainability, and smarter living.
