3 wounded, armed thugs escape Mutundwe chase
Police is hunting for three suspected robbers who survived the UPDF operation in which the army killed four thugs in Mutundwe, a suburb of Kampala.
Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango said the three were part of the gang four of whose members were killed in Mutundwe by the UPDF after a chase.
“The thugs that escaped were in a Toyata Caldina which was black in colour registration UAN 368H. They are three, armed and dangerous. We are tracing for the vehicle and the three suspects. we are looking for them and anytime we know we shall arrest them” said Onyango.
Onyango also urged the public to report any suspected person with immediate effect to the nearest police station.
On Tuesday four armed thugs were killed in Mutundwe by the UPDF after a chase from Kabowa. The dead were reportedly going on a mission to rob someone who had sold his land. The dead included land brokers.
They were identified as:
1. Wandera Stephen of Mengo born in Kyotera
2. Mayanja Lameka of Kabalagala born in Masaka
3. Mugalu Dick of Makindye born in Mukono
4. Segirinya Ismail from Kakiri wakiso
Poloce says no member of the public was injured and or affected in any way by the robbers .
