Police Offer Shs50 Million Reward for Information on Entebbe Double Murder Suspect

Police have announced a cash reward of Shs50 million for any information leading to the arrest of a key suspect in the gruesome murder of an elderly couple in Entebbe earlier this month.

David Mutaaga, 69, and his wife Deborah Florence Mutaaga, 62, were found brutally murdered inside their home in Lugonjo-Nakiwogo Cell, Entebbe Municipality, on July 6, 2025. The couple had recently returned from Europe, where they had resided for several years.

In a chilling development, police on Monday released a video recording believed to be from the primary suspect, captured during the violent incident. In the recording, the voice is heard calling out one of the victims:

“Wait, Matuga, come and help your husband. Your husband is here died .”

Police say the person behind the voice is central to the investigation and have called on the public to assist in identifying or locating the suspect.

“The moment you lead us to the suspect or deliver him, Shs50 million in cash awaits you. Everybody is called upon to ensure we join the hunt,” said Police Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke

He added that all security agencies are fully engaged in tracking down the killer(s) and urged members of the public to share any helpful information via the emergency number 0769 675918.
