Ugandan musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine was Ranked as the over all individual who impacted news in 2018.

To this category, Kyagulanyi beat Rwanda’s president Paul Kagame, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the Ebola responders in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

His victory connects him to past winners that includes Congolese surgeon Dr. Denis Mukwege who won the first edition in 2016 and anti-CFA activist Kemi Seba who won the second edition in 2017.

Bobi wine made news during the togikwatako campaign when he led a group of opposition MPs that were against the extension of the presidential term limit. However, he gained more popularity after Uganda was turned upside down when he was arrested during the uproars that happened in Arua by-elections.

Rafiki believes Bobi will not feel cheated not appearing on Bebe’s list, after all he started 2019 with a tittle to his name.
